FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: CHIN & JAW FILLERS
Why Consider Chin and Jaw Fillers? A strong chin is often associated with strength and confidence. Our fillers not only enhance the chin but also define the jawline, creating a balanced and captivating lower face.
What Do Our Fillers Contain? Our fillers are primarily based on hyaluronic acid (HA), a natural skin plumper. All chin fillers we use are fully reversible, ensuring flexibility and peace of mind for our patients.
How Long Do Results Last? HA chin fillers typically last one-two years, and this is influenced by factors such as age, metabolism, exercise, blood flow and smoking habits. Younger patients may experience a shorter duration due to faster metabolism.
What Are the Risks? We use top-grade HA fillers and our emphasis is very much on the skills of Dr Jas. The products are non-animal sourced, sterile, and have a 35-year safety record.
Can I Have a Consultation and Treatment on the Same Day? Yes, most patients opt for same-day consultation and treatment, understanding the travel commitments involved. Your convenience is our priority.
Will It Hurt? Discomfort is minimal, thanks to local anaesthetic mixed into each filler. We prioritise your comfort and use a comprehensive anaesthetic to minimise bruising and ensure a pain-free experience.
Is There Any Downtime? Chin filler injections may cause temporary puffiness for a day or two, with minimal downtime. Typically, individuals may experience a slight increase in swelling the morning after the treatment, which promptly diminishes. The majority of patients commonly note puffiness lasting for approximately 24-48 hours. Your personal reaction to the injections is highly individualised so if you bruise easily, the likelihood of bruising following this procedure may be higher. Many patients describe a mild stiffness (though not visibly apparent) for up to a week or so after the treatment.
When's the Best Age for Facial Fillers? Ageing is so individual, and there's no 'right' time. If you bring in some old photos of you we can assess any noticeable changes. For example, you may come in wanting treatment to the lines from your nose to your mouth, but we can look at pictures as see that loss of cheek volume could be the issue.
What If I Hate the Results? To give you peace of mind, HA fillers can be instantly dissolved using the same enzyme that breaks down natural HA in the skin.
How Much Filler Should I Have? The volume depends on your individual goals. We typically administer 1-2mls per session, adjusting this based on your preference. A natural look is always our priority, and we recommend gradual adjustments if needed.
I charge the following for professionally administered filler injections: 1st ml £500; consecutive mls £460.
